Global oil price increases, driven by increasing demand and diminishing supply has prompted the development of Thermally Enhanced Oil Recovery (TEOR) technologies to lengthen well production life and to recover heavier oils. These technologies use optical fibers as Distributed Temperature Sensors in a down-hole environment to provide real-time data to the well operators enabling safer and more efficient operation.
